Saving a Friend

Ali Mirza Ja’far Allaf (Parviz) was one of early burned papers of the evil book of MKO. He not only lost his post, money, social status for MKO, but also had to separate from the wife he loved because of satanic temptations of MKO. I also was hurt like this, even worse; MKO could take my wife from me forever through creating unreal personality in her by hollow responsibilities and titles.

The sad destiny of Parviz and my wife was something that had occupied my mind and would never go away. One day, when thinking about them, I remembered a sentence by Iraj: “You are a dogmatic person. We have few people like you. One of them was also married and had been in prison for eight years. His wife also has progressive ideas and is going to join MKO.” Remembering this sentence was like a sledge hammer on my head. Suddenly I remembered among the people in INP (Islamic Nations People) there were few people who had been sentenced to 8 years in prison; including Mohammad Hassan Ebn-ul-Reza and Nasser Naraghi. I thought then person Iraj was talking about was possibly the late Naraghi. I decided to go and visit him and inform him about the truths I knew. I went to his house several times. Since his wife did not know me and I would not introduce myself, she would tell that he was not at home; maybe she thought that I was a SAVAK agent.

Finally, once I introduced myself and told her that I was friend of him. She went to tell him. Minutes later Nasser came out with bare feet to the door. We got really happy of visiting each other and hugged each other. He invited me inside his house persistently. I told him: “Nasser! I am separated from MKO and if become entrapped they would kill me; I do not know how is your situation? Have you joined MKO or not? And if yes, would you squeal me or not? Something heavy on my heart made me come here to talk to you. I have endangered myself by coming here because I hoped that you would not be in MKO. You are a Muslim and we both have been in prison together twice….” After this introductory speech I narrated for him the story of Fatima and my kids. He felt really sorry. When I felt that my words had been effective on him, I said: “Nasser! It seems that you have the same story?” He said: “How come?!” I said: “Iraj talked about a person who had been in Prison for eight years; someone who is dogmatic but his wife is a progressive and open-minded (!) lady. I guessed he should be you.” Nasser got upset and sad. After a silence he said: “Yes, it’s me. God damn them. Ahmad! They are doing the same thing to me. I do not know what to do?” I said: “I tell you what to do to be free of their trap; leave them at once! Stand strongly and do not let you wife leave you. Talk to her and tell her my story.” That day I talked with Nasser for a long time and tried to give him some hope.

I went to the late Naraghi’s house several times and talked with him and his wife in full detail. I expressed all the genocides that had been made by MKO. After these meetings and talks, finally his wife left MKO by her own wish. This couple cut their relations with MKO and could save their life.[1]

[1] Maryam Maslehatjou, wife of Nasser Naraghi says in her memories: “…he [Nasser Naraghi] from 1965, when I was 14, would live in our house as a tenant. The same year he was arrested and my father went to visit him in prison several times. When he was freed in 1973, we married each other. We move to Narmak district (in east of Tehran) to begin our new life. There, we made contacts with MKO through Mohsen Tarighat. On those days I would study 14 hours a day. Books like: The Red Yellows, Papillon, Shenakht (Understanding) and the books by Dr. Shariati. We would type MKO statements in our home. We would go to appointed places and tick our health mark. We also would keep some arms and ammunition at home. Until one day that Mr. Ahmad ringed the bell of our house. I did not know him. He introduced himself with pseudonym of Mr. Akbari and asked about Mr. Naraghi. When I saw him I was afraid? I thought he was from SAVAK. I said Nasser was not at home. When the late Nasser came back from work that night, I told him that somebody had come and introduced himself as Ahmad Akbari. The same night we put all the documents and book in the car and went toward my mother-in-law’s house in Ahmad Abad of Karaj. On the way we thought that he may be following us. So, we stopped the car and threw all the books and documents in the river and stayed in Ahmad Abad for three days. When we were back, Mr. Ahmad came again and this time introduced him as Ahmad Ahmad. Those years Mr. Ahmad had chosen the secret life and was living team-houses. Through Mr. Ahmad, we were informed that MKO members had changed to Marxists. So, we left tem and did not continue our activity….”
